Abstract: Workpiece will be rotated and moved inevitable in the process of transfers, so it is a key that matching the standard workpiece image to the object image. In this paper, the author do some research of workpiece surface test, and present a new method to locate workpiece based on pyramid method and incomplete characters matching. Via comparison to some classical methods, it show that the method is exact and Real-time to locate workpiece .
