地域方言是全民語言在不同地域上的分支，不同漢語方言的詞語，用漢字寫下來，差別不算大，各方言區(qū)的人大體上能看得懂，如果念出來，語音差別很大，相互之間就很難聽懂了。東北方言隸屬官話方言的分支，地域上的接壤使得東北人的說話腔調接近現(xiàn)代漢語普通話，其他方言區(qū)的人大體上能夠聽明白，這就為近些年來東北方言在全國范圍內廣泛傳播提供了客觀上的必要條件。同時，東北方言又不受普通話的“局限”，有其自己的語音特點，平直中有波瀾，說話時盡顯詼諧、幽默，加上趙本山、高秀敏、范偉等表演藝術家通過東北二人轉、小品和影視作品等藝術形式的表現(xiàn)創(chuàng)作，將東北方言帶上了一個新的藝術高度，形成了一場“東北方言熱”。
東北方言是普通話的基礎方言之一，從語言體系上講，就是稍欠標準的普通話。東北方言的語音特點源于東北地區(qū)的人文差異和自然差異：滿、蒙等少數(shù)民族的粗獷豪放影響了東北方言的形成；東北黑土地上豐肌醇厚的民風提供給東北方言豪邁的氣質；氣候的寒冷干燥感染了東北方言的粗豪風格。
經過對現(xiàn)有資料的閱讀以及對東北方言的自我剖析，本文試通過與現(xiàn)代漢語普通話的對比中，從聲母、韻母、聲調三個主要方面做出細致分析,著重分析了東北方言的語音特點，并指出東北方言和現(xiàn)代漢語普通話之間對立統(tǒng)一關系。說明東北方言雖然在近年來很有“市場”，但是它永遠不可能取代普通話——漢民族共同語的地位。

如果對當今中國的方言劇作一番比較，毫無疑問，東北二人轉首當其沖扮演著重要的角色。以它為藍本的藝術形式無論小品還是影視作品，都將東北方言帶上了一個新的藝術高度。近年來，在央視播出的方言電視劇中，大多數(shù)是東北方言劇，而能夠每年登上中央電視臺春節(jié)聯(lián)歡晚會舞臺的方言小品，也非東北方言莫屬。東北方言劇的走紅并非是偶然的。一大批走南闖北的東北藝人為東北方言的傳播和推廣起到了積極的作用。以趙本山、高秀敏、范偉為代表的東北小品明星，又將東北方言搬上了影視屏幕，《劉老根》、《馬大帥》都成為眼下數(shù)億觀眾津津樂道的影視大餐，全中國也由此掀起了一場“東北方言熱”。雖然其中也不乏一些低俗的東北方言歌曲和據此改編的flash動畫，但不能否認的是這些都為對東北方言的研究和發(fā)展提供了有利的條件。
“東北方言熱”使我對我們東北人的共同語產生了極大的興趣。通過我對現(xiàn)有資料的閱讀、以及對東北方言的自我剖析，我發(fā)現(xiàn)東北方言的語法系統(tǒng)和現(xiàn)代漢語普通話的語法系統(tǒng)差別不大，東北方言的詞匯更是豐富多彩，不能窮舉。因此，在這里我通過東北。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。
