1.信息通訊。現(xiàn)代社會(huì)信息量激增,信息交換也日益增多,每年有幾萬噸紙質(zhì)信件要傳遞。利用計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)傳遞信件則是一種全新的電子傳遞方式【1】。
2.資源共享。在計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)中,有許多昂貴的資源,如大型數(shù)據(jù)庫和巨型計(jì)算機(jī)等,并非為每一用戶所擁有,所以必須實(shí)行資源共享【2】。
3.增加可靠性。在計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)中,每種資源(尤其程序和數(shù)據(jù))可以存放在多個(gè)地點(diǎn),用戶可以通過多種途徑來訪問網(wǎng)內(nèi)的資源,從而避免了單點(diǎn)失效對(duì)用戶產(chǎn)生的影響【3】。
4.數(shù)據(jù)的集中管理。計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)的另一個(gè)功能是訪問遠(yuǎn)程數(shù)據(jù)庫,集中處理數(shù)據(jù)信息,保證數(shù)據(jù)庫的一致性【4】。
5.其他方面。計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)給人們帶來了便利的生活,人們可以通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)去訂購車票,可以通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)購買到各種各樣的商品,可以通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)了解到最新的信息,可以通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)拉近人月人之間的距離,可以通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)娛樂人們的生活。在日常生活中,我們可以通過計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)了解到商品信息以及商業(yè)情報(bào)的動(dòng)態(tài),政治經(jīng)濟(jì)的形式,生活的各種方面等等【5】。

Abstract
Computer network since the birth of the late nineteen sixties, the extraordinarily rapid pace of development, and is more and more widely used in political, economic, military, all areas of production and science and technology. The main function of the computer network includes the following.
1. information communication. In modern society, a surge in the amount of information, information exchange is also increasing, there are tens of thousands of tons of paper letters to transfer each year. The use of computer network to deliver mail is a new electronic transfer mode.
2. the sharing of resources. In the computer network, there are a lot of expensive resources, such as large databases and giant computer, not for every user has, so must implement the resources sharing.
3. increase the reliability. In computer networks, each kind of resources ( especially the program and data ) can be stored in multiple locations, and users can access network resources through a variety of ways, so as to avoid the influence of single point of failure to the user 's.
4. the data centralized management. Another function of the computer network is to access remote database, centralized processing of data information, ensure database consistency.
5. the computer network has brought convenience to people 's life, people can through the network to order a ticket, can buy all kinds of goods through the network, can understand the latest information through the network, can pull the distance between neighbor month through the network, through the network entertainment life of people. In daily life, we can understand that the commodity information and dynamic business information through the computer network, the political and economic form, life various aspects and so on.
