現(xiàn)代的計算機都是大規(guī)模集成電路計算機，具有功能強，結構緊湊、系統(tǒng)可靠等特性、隨著半導體技術的發(fā)展，能夠在一個硅片上制作幾百萬個晶體管，于是出現(xiàn)了大規(guī)模集成電路的中央處理器—微處理器，以及大容量的半導體存儲器，通用或?qū)Ｓ幂斎?輸出接口電路，包含多種類型I/O的綜合外圍電路，由這些大規(guī)模集成電路組成各種類型的微型計算機。
