Thesis: This paper intends to give a short summary to the seven marriages in Pride and Prejudice and to discuss three main factors that affect marriage in the eighteenth century. It concludes that a happy and strong marriage must be based on mutual feelings, understanding, and respect. Love is the source for the happiness of marriage.
