數(shù)控立式銑床是數(shù)控銑床中數(shù)量最多的一種，應(yīng)用范圍也最為廣泛。小型數(shù)控銑床一般都采用工作臺移動、升降、及主軸不動方式，與普通立式升降臺銑床相似；中型數(shù)控立式銑床一般采用縱向和橫向工作臺移動方式，且主軸沿垂直溜板上下運動；大型數(shù)控立式銑床，因要考慮到擴大行程，縮小占地面積及剛性等技術(shù)問題，往往采用龍門架移動式，其主軸可以在龍門架的橫向與垂直溜板上運動，而龍門架則沿床身作縱向運動。
